Mediation & Clinical Peer Review
When communication breaks down, mediation and clinical peer review can often bridge the gap for both patient and dentist. Mediation and clinical peer review is a confidential and voluntary mechanism by which the dental profession reviews the appropriateness of the treatment and the quality of the care it renders. The Illinois State Dental Society has chosen to provide ISDS members of local component and branches of mediation and clinical peer review the following information in order to assist them in becoming effective mediators and chairs. If you have any questions regarding the process, please feel free to contact us.
The Committee on Mediation and Clinical Peer Review of ISDS has developed a Peer Review Manual that contains policies, procedures and guidelines applicable to the peer review process.
Members may download the Manual on Mediation and Clinical Peer Review.
